I am looking forward to Kailyn turning 4. I am usually really sad about her getting older but I am SO ready for her to be out of her 3 yr old phase. This last year has been a tough one on me because she is growing up, becoming more independent and opinionated. While I like the fact she is growing as a person there are some things I could do without: she doesn't listen, she's bossy and thinks she can get anything she wants, even though she doesn't get everything she wants. We try and teach her manners and to appreciate everything she has, but the fact is she watches tv, she goes to school and is around other kids, so no matter how hard we try she is still going to learn things from others. She is a pretty funny kid though, some of the things that she comes up with makes me really scratch my head but nevertheless, she is funny and has us laughing a lot. No matter how naughty she can be sometimes, she can also be a sweet, loving girl that I love more than anything.
Aside from that, our move date is getting closer: 4 months now! And while I am stressing out on the idea of packing up this house, I am really getting excited about our move. I can't wait until we're there. I just wish I could close my eyes and wish for everything to pack up itself and just appear in NC. Ahhhh...where's my magic wand when I need it?
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas this year!
Kailyn, nearly 4.

So much to say! First of all, Kailyn is beautiful! Second of all, I was also born without that party planning gene! And third of all... You're moving to North Carolina?? That's wonderful! I know you've been wanting to for a very long time. Why were you finally able to go? This means more babies soon I hope :). I can't believe Kailyn is 4... UN-BE-LIEVE-ABLE!
ReplyDeleteThank you Stori! I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one without that party-planning gene. :)
ReplyDeleteYes!! We are moving to NC!! We are so excited about it. We found out about a month and half ago and have been planning it since. We will be out there in January for a house hunting and I can't wait.:) I get giddy when I have to look for a house, it's one of my favorite things to do.
I have baby fever BAD and want another baby asap. So, I'm hoping once we're there and all settled in we'll get pregnant. Kailyn's getting older and I didn't want that HUGE age gap but it is what it is, ya know?
How are things with you?
I can't wait to see the house you pick out! I know NC is beautiful, and I know you'll have no trouble making friends.
ReplyDeleteI have bad, bad baby fever too! Now that we are feeling settled in Russia, hopefully we can get busy on that :).
On the age gap, it is what it is, but it will be great no matter what. Each age has their own benefits. My nephew Aiden is nine years older than my nephew Finn, and my sister would never have chosen that, but Aiden is such a huge helper and she loves the huge gap now!
Please blog more! :)
