As I finished my previous post I realized that Christmas was almost here. Even though it is the day before Kailyn's birthday somehow it wasn't what I was thinking of first, maybe because to me Kailyn's birthday is more of a milestone. I cannot wait until Christmas morning though, when Kailyn comes downstairs and sees all the presents under the tree. It was fun last year but this year she has a better understanding of things. I can just see her now, just tearing into all her presents with the biggest smile on her face, playing with the wrapping paper, then the boxes and then probably the present itself. She seems satisfied with anything new, whether it be a box or a toy. When you have a child, Christmas becomes all about them, you don't even think about yourself, or at least, I don't. I could care less if I get anything, it's all about my baby. :)
Just thinking about it makes me all giddy!!

The countdown is on...
All I have been thinking about lately is how quickly time flies. It's only 3 more days until my baby turns 2 and I truly cannot believe it. It saddens me at the fact that she is growing super fast and is no longer a "baby". I mean she will always be my baby no matter how old she gets, but still the fact remains that she is no longer a baby.
Every day she proves to me how grown up she is. She is one smart cookie, although I'm sure all parents say that about their children, but she truly is. She is talking quite a bit, not as much as I'd hoped for her age, but she is and every day she learns a new word and attempts most words. The thing that proves to me how smart she is is how she can now read a few letters and words. Yep, that right, my baby can read! :) We go through the alphabet and she only has difficulty with a few letters. It blows my mind at how she's developing and it's happening very quickly. She is also a very loving and caring little girl, and very happy pretty much all the time (except when she's got a tooth coming, especially those darn molars). She is a great listener and will do what she is told every time, and she also makes us laugh beyond belief! I am really proud of the little girl she is becoming and I am very excited for the future and the new tasks she will accomplish.
That's all for now, as I will go back to what I was doing before writing this new post; looking at Kailyn's baby pictures. :)

'Tis The Season To Be Jolly!
Yes, it is. I love this holiday season because everyone seems to be in a cheerful spirit, not only that but I love all the decorations, the lights, the ornaments, everything. Last week we went to Half Moon Bay to get our Christmas tree. It was my second time having a real tree, but a first having to cut it down. It was a lot of fun watching Kailyn run through the Christmas tree farm, picking up sticks and saying "Thissss" to everything. After about a half hour or so we found our tree. It was big, thick and lush. After bringing it home, we put it up and the following day, we decorated it. We were thrilled with the results, and nothing can beat the smell of a real tree...ahhh!

Halloween Party
We went to a friends Halloween Party, their decorations were great (a little scary for Kailyn), the food was great and the people were great!
Halloween - Brentwood Halloween Festival
My pretty little bee :)
We went to downtown Brentwood's Halloween Festival. A great place for young kids to dress up and trick-or-treat in a safe environment. There were tons of kids there and Kailyn absolutely loved looking at all their great costumes, especially one dressed as Scooby Doo.

Halloween - The Pumpkin Patch
We had a busy Halloween this year! We went to the Smith Family Farm where they put on a delightful little barn show, they had some very cute barn animals to look at, and a fun tractor ride to take us to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. Kailyn finally started to enjoy herself when it was time to leave...typical.

Such a great photo of my two loves :)
Trying to lift it...she thought she could, lol.

My Dad Comes For A Visit!!
So, after my mum came to visit, my dad came to visit. It had been about 8 months since I saw my dad last, so I was really excited to see him. We always go out to dinner when he's in town and it's always to go eat Sushi, we are huge sushi lovers!! Our dear friend Robin came by to babysit Kailyn while Mike and I went out to Danville to meet my dad and Nelly for dinner. It was the first time in a very long time that we went out without Kailyn, it was a very nice change.
We also went to SF one day to walk around pier 39, ate lunch at Bubba Gumps and checked out the many, many sea lions that cover the docks. It was Kailyn's first trip out the the piers so she was really excited to see the sea lions, so much that she didn't want to leave them.
Going out to dinner:
Pier 39:
This seal lion was showing off like you wouldn't believe! He was splashing around, jumping out of the water, it was hilarious!!
We played a few games of domino's and obsession. Kailyn tried to help my dad play domino's since he wasn't having the best luck...not sure she helped much though.
