Seriously. I can handle almost everything that comes with being a mother, spitting up, full on projectile vomiting or pooping, and really yucky diapers. What I can't seem to handle is the pooping in the tub. Really? Why the tub? It happened not once, but twice tonight. I filled the tub up and she poops. I empty, clean and refill the tub and she poops again. So, I yet again, empty, clean, and refill the tub. She has done this several times and every time I see her starting to go I immediately put her on her potty to go or to finish, but no such luck, she keeps on pooping in the tub.
To all you mothers out there! How do I stop this from happening again? Please any advice is helpful. Thanks!

My BFF
Yay, I am so excited I got to see my very best friend and her family last night! They live in Reno and I rarely get to see them, so it was so great to be able to see them last night. We have been best friends since we were 11 years old and have been through pretty much everything together. One of the greatest things in life right now is being able to hang out with her and her kids. When we're together we always look at each other and talk about our lives, past and present, and can't believe that the dreams we had growing up (and talked about daily) have come true. I just can't wait until the day her girls are old enough that I can start telling all the old stories about our childhood, well some of them anyway. :)

Easter Part 2
On Easter Sunday, we relaxed most of the day until about 1pm and then it was time to make green bean casserole to take to another Easter get together. One of our friends, Richie, invited us to go over to his house to celebrate Easter with him and his family. Once again, lots of people and lots of food! It was such a beautiful day and just walking around the garden gave me lots of inspiration to start working on my own backyard. We ate a yummy meal and then it was time for me to take Kailyn home for her long awaited nap. Once she was down, I started work on my yard. Yay me!!
Kailyn and her Easter Bunny...it's almost as big as she is!! :)

A Day At The Zoo
We went to the Oakland Zoo yesterday and what a wonderful day it was! We couldn't have asked for better weather, it was sunny and warm with a little breeze.

This was Kailyn's first time to the zoo and I think she had a pretty great time too. She really enjoyed looking at the giraffe's and the elephants, and not only that; there were tons of kids running around everywhere!! She's quite the little people watcher.
She was so into the giraffe's that she didn't turn to the camera for a picture.
Aren't they adorable?

What a fun day at the zoo, well actually, it was more like 2 hours at the zoo, we were able to see the whole thing in 2 hours. That's perfect for us seeing as Kailyn gets tired quickly and we had to leave shortly after for lunch and for a nap. That's the perfect day for me.

Easter part 1
Easter was so much fun this year even though Kailyn is still a little too young to get the concept of finding Easter eggs.
On Saturday, we went to a bbq and just couldn't believe how many people were there! We only knew the friends of the person putting on the bbq. What a property! It must have been at least an acre. (Mike and I would love to have a property like that some day.) They had a TON of food there, lots of games, and other fun stuff to do, unfortunately, it's mostly for the big kids.
Kailyn didn't exactly join in on the Easter egg hunt as there were mostly older kids but we did wander off and found one. She found an egg and then put it back and another girl (about 6 yrs old) came along and took it! I couldn't believe it, but hey she's just a kid. It's not like Kailyn understood what she did.
There were also a lot of little babies there, absolutely adorable. You forget how small they are once yours is a huge monster! haha... lol...
The food was great, the people were great and the whole atmosphere was great...
A great start to a great Easter weekend!

Oh Shot!

I wish there was such thing as the painless, symptom-free vaccination. Ha! I took Kailyn to the Dr yesterday and she had to get 2 shots and a prick on the toe to check for anemia. She didn't even feel the prick and she's such a champ at the shots, that's not the problem. The problem is what happens after the shots, she gets crabby as all hell and becomes like this devil child, not listening, throwing temper tantrums...what's a mother to do!
In the words of Jenny McCarthy, "Go green on vaccinations, just like everything else. Make the shots healthy, take out the mercury, aluminum, ether, and anti-freeze!"
I agree...go green on vaccines!
Why do we need all that crap in vaccines anyway?
